New paper 300x300 and 200dpi if you're using the button for a
SB page.
1.
To make your button first make your Path shape. In 2D just
draw a circle [or a rounded square shape]. Size about
150x150 any color. You can use any background paper you have
as a fill too.
2. Change your mode to Continue Draw and
draw a small circle. The screen shot below will show your
settings for this I circled them in red. [Note that since I
paint a lot I have my brushes up on the top bar you will not
have that line of brushes just look at where my red circles
are for your settings]

3. Change the Continue Draw back to 2D you will see your
button with one hole in it.

4.
5. When you click on the Edit radial button you will now see
your top line change to this, area in screen shot is
circled. See Below..
[If you want a 2 hole button just duplicate one time]
That is where you have the Duplicate Radial button I put a
pink box around it..

6. Select only the inner circle to duplicate that part. You will now have 4 circles in your button which will
look like this.

7. Arrange them one at a time to how you wish them to be.
Make sure you leave space around them so they are not
touching.
Move each one until they are where you want them. Line them
up better than I did please.

Click on the Edit radial button to see if
the holes are where you want them to be.
When you are satisfied the next step is to make it the 3D
shape you want. If the holes aren't quite right now click on
the Edit button again and arrange the inner circles again if
necessary.
Note: I saved mine in my EP to use over and over again.
I use the button designer for that part.
8. Select your button shape. Go to Web/ Button Designer
and Any Shape.

You will get this screen.

See your top has folders I am in the Basic folder.
[Above screen shot]
Above shows you I have selected the 1st blue shape at the
bottom. I changed the Bevel to 5 and the Smoothness to 1.
I then changed to the Bevel folder see below.

You can make so many different shapes with the button
designer that I will let you play from this point. If you
went through the Beginners Workshop then you will be aware
of the ins and outs of this button designer so it will be
much easier to change your settings with ease.
Here is what the button looks like with the above settings.
Yes I know my holes aren't lined up to perfection on this
one!

By changing the bevel size and shapes you can make some
lovely buttons a few more I did are at the top of this page.
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial as much as I liked writing
it for you.
If you wish to do so, post your results in the Scrapbook and
Crafts forum of the
PhotoImpact International Bulletin Board. Thank you!
