Bear Ding Filled page 3 Instruction

Filling the bear dark fur sections.
  • 9. I enlarged the bears to 300% because it is hard to get the Magic Wand in all of the smaller parts where you want the fur on his face. You can close out the knit .ufo and any others you still have open. You only need the bears to be open to work on now.
The screen shot below will show you the settings I used for the Magic Wand on the bears face. Use the magic wand and click the areas of the face. If you happen to hit the black outline you can click on the redo button.

When you finish the face area Rc/Expand/Shrink and expand 1 pixel, click ok.
Rc Convert to Object. To fill the bear go to Edit/Fill and looking at the ss below get the fur fill and fill the bears face with it.

Click ok in the fill box and your bear will look like this one below.

Now he's starting to get cute! Do the other bears face next. All of the dark bear body parts need to be filled exactly the same way just repeat the above instructions. Go ahead and finish the dark fur part on both of the bears. Look at the 3rd ss below so you can see which ones to do. Please don't forget to Save after each part you finish!

    Note:
If you miss a small area and it leaves a white spot don't worry about it we will fix it in the next step just continue on until you get all the dark pieces finished.

Bear Parts to finish in dark brown ss below.

    Cloning

  • 10. Now we will fix the tiny spots we missed, if you don't have any well done! You can skip this part.
As you see in my ss below I made the background green so it is easier to  see all of the spots.
Select the Clone paint brush with the settings shown [enlarge if you need to see better]
Put the clone brush over the leg area Hold the Shift key down to select that leg area you will see a blinking white cross hair
[make sure you are in mode to clone paint] and paint over the top of where ever you need to on the bear. You will probably have different areas you missed than I do....move to screen shot 2nd one below. I took my ss before I clicked on in mode and it is at 100%.

Below you can see the white cross hair where you selected the area on the leg. It also shows where I cloned in my spots, just click and go to the next spot and click again ...until you've got them all. Don't forget the face areas and you don't have to worry about cloning over top of the outline area. It won't show when you're done.

When you click out of mode you will see all the spots you made floating above the bear.
Rc and Arrange/send to back. If you have any area in the blue knitted section then do it also.
Select over the blue scarf and click the shift key, to select the spot, then again paint in mode any area of the blue you may have missed. Send the cloned pieces to the back.
Deselect by clicking your enter key.

Change the background back to white*
